Designed by Michele De Lucchi, the Alessi Capsule Crusher transforms the simple act of recycling into something intentional. Its pleated form takes inspiration from fashion and architecture, bringing a sculptural elegance to the everyday. By compressing used aluminium coffee capsules, it makes your daily ritual both more sustainable and more refined.
The pleated design is genuinely striking — it’s the first thing guests notice on my counter, and it makes crushing cans feel almost ceremonial. The build quality is solid enough that I don’t worry about it bending or denting after weeks of daily use. Honestly, recycling has never looked this good.
It’s rare that a recycling tool feels like a design piece, but this one genuinely elevates the whole countertop. The pleated form draws the eye every time I walk past, and crushing capsules actually feels satisfying now.
The pleated design makes it feel almost sculptural on my counter, and crushing capsules is oddly satisfying now. It’s sturdy enough to handle daily use without wobbling, which is more than I expected from something this stylish.
