Category: Rituals. Warm, comforting and familiar.

Turihamwe is grown and processed by a women-led collective in northern Burundi. In 2019, seven producers pooled their JNP Coffee premiums to build the country’s first washing station fully owned by women, giving them direct control over quality and pricing for the first time.

Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness and fully washed using local spring water. The cup is bright and composed, with gentle sweetness and clear acidity. It’s a confident coffee from a team shaping their future in specialty.

You taste the care, but also the control. This is what happens when producers lead the process, not just supply it.

Kevin D. ★★★★★

The first sip tastes like home—smooth, warm, and deeply familiar, with none of the sharp bitterness I usually get from other beans. Knowing it’s from a women-led collective in Burundi makes that comfort feel even better. I’ve already brewed three cups today.

First sip and I immediately understood the name—there's a grounding warmth to it that makes the whole ritual feel special. Knowing it's from a women-led washing station in Burundi adds a layer of meaning to every morning cup.

It’s rare to find a coffee that feels both ethical and indulgent, but knowing the beans come from a women-led washing station in Burundi makes every cup taste richer. The brew has a smooth, grounding warmth that’s become my go-to for slow mornings. I’ve already reordered twice.
