Rwamatamu는 2015년, 르완다 서부에서 부부인 Gaston Rutaganda와 Laeticia Mukantwaza가 설립했습니다. 커피 생산과 더불어 이 프로젝트는 지역 사회 이니셔티브에 적극적으로 투자하며, 교육, 토지 접근 및 장기적 발전을 통해 여성과 젊은 농부들을 지원합니다.
이 내추럴 레드 버번 로트는 Rwamatamu의 Mbare 세척장에서 가공되었으며, 체리는 수작업으로 선별된 후 여러 주에 걸쳐 높은 건조대에서 천천히 건조됩니다. 건조 과정 내내 세심한 뒤집기와 선별 작업을 통해 단맛과 과일의 복합미를 높이는 동시에, 고지대 르완다 커피 특유의 구조와 명료함을 유지합니다.
The coffee itself is adventurous and complex, but what really won me over is how they’ve woven community support right into the venture since 2015. It’s rare to find a project that feels this grounded in its place of origin.
Gaston and Laeticia’s community-first approach is the real reason I keep coming back—knowing part of my purchase supports local initiatives makes the coffee taste even better. The 2015 roots show in how thoughtfully every batch is handled.
I’ve been buying from this venture since 2019 and the coffee itself is consistently excellent, but it’s the husband-and-wife founding story from western Rwanda that keeps me coming back. The community programs they’ve built alongside production feel genuine, not like a marketing afterthought.
