Nguvu wird in Muyinga angebaut, das heute zur Provinz Buhumuza in Burundi gehört, und in einer kleinen Waschstation direkt vor den Toren Bujumburas verarbeitet. Die Station befindet sich in unabhängigem Besitz und wird eigenständig betrieben, mit voller Kontrolle über Land und Abläufe vor Ort.

Unterstützt durch die Qualitätsschulungen und Prämien von JNP Coffee, arbeitet sie eng mit einer Gruppe lokaler Bäuerinnen zusammen. Der Name Nguvu bedeutet auf Kirundi „Stärke“ – passend für einen Kaffee, der sowohl fein als auch selbstbewusst ist.
