Nguvu viene coltivato a Muyinga, oggi parte della provincia di Buhumuza in Burundi, e lavorato in una piccola stazione di lavaggio appena fuori Bujumbura. La stazione è di proprietà e gestione indipendente, con controllo diretto del terreno e delle operazioni.

Supportata dalla formazione di qualità e dai premi di JNP Coffee, lavora a stretto contatto con un gruppo affiatato di donne agricoltrici locali. Il nome Nguvu significa "forza" in kirundi, un nome adatto a un caffè che è allo stesso tempo delicato e sicuro di sé.
